Regional Checklists in downloadable format

We have begun to post a listing of Mycotaxon-approved fungal checklists available on the Internet. Our new web page will provide links to approved checklists hosted on institutional or personal websites as well as others hosted here on www.mycotaxon.com. This means that users will now be able to view all such checklists online or can download pdf or html files directly to their own computers for storing or printing.

The great advantages of replacing hard copy with online files include (a) ease of searching an entire dataset using any term or terms and (b) the ease with which authors can update their checklists on a regular basis as new data become available. These checklists are listed below. The initial number reflects the order in which we have accepted such checklists for listing on this page. Checklists are subdivided by geographic areas. Within those areas they are arranged by country, or under "General" if more than one country is involved. Each database can be downloaded by clicking on the highlighted date (if two dates appear, the first date is that of the original posting, while the highlighted second date is that of the most recent revision.) Each database is described in some detail in a summary announcement paper in Mycotaxon, and by clicking on the words link to abstract you will be linked to the title, publication data, abstract, and keywords for that summary announcement paper.
