Antonín, Vladimír. New species of marasmioid genera (Basidiomycetes, Tricholomataceae) from tropical Africa - II. Gloiocephala, Marasmius, Setulipes and two new combinations. Mycotaxon 88: 53 - 78. 2003.

ABSTRACT: 14 new taxa (13 species and 1 variety) of the genera Marasmius, Gloiocephala and Setulipes (Basidiomycetes, Tricholomataceae) from tropical Africa are published. Two described species belong to the genus Gloiocephala (G. mucrocystidiata, G. tezae), two to Marasmius sect. Chordales (M. mvumae, M. schreursii), one species and one variety to sect. Globulares (M. latepileatus, M. staudtii var. magnisporus), one to sect. Hygrometrici (M. mulanjensis), three to sect. Marasmius (M. colorimarginatus, M. lovedalensis, M. somalomoensis) and four to the genus Setulipes (S. afibulatus, S. brevistipitatus, S. curvistipitatus, S. rhizomorphicola). Two new combinations are proposed: Setulipes kisangensis and S. hakgalensis. A new name, M. davidii, is proposed for M. brunneolus (Berk. & Broome) Pegler [non M. brunneolus (Beeli) Singer]. Detailed macroscopic and microscopic descriptions, drawings and a short discussion are given for each species. These studies represent a part of larger taxonomic project dealing with African Marasmii.
