ABSTRACT: A new fungal species, Bipolaris prieskaensis, isolated from the debris of Pistacia vera L. in Prieska (Northern Cape Province of South Africa), is described and illustrated; its affinity to a closely related species is discussed to show the distinguishing morphological features.
