ADVICE to returning visitors: your computer usually stores a copy of your last visit, and will display that page. Always refresh each page you visit to see our recent changes!

Volume 106 (Oct-Dec 2008) is scheduled for mailing on January 9, 2009.

Cost-free access to articles in back volumes is now up to date and on schedule. All volumes from 1 through 86 can now be accessed online. Go to the CYBERLIBER website and click on 'Journals' and then select 'Mycotaxon.' Additional volumes will be added once they are more than 5 years old. Newer volumes are available by ordering print copies.

We feature a secure site for ordering and paying online. Sending credit card numbers by email can be very dangerous, but now you can pay by credit cards securely online. Order and pay for subscriptions, back volumes, indices, and our books, or pay an invoice you have received from us.

All authors should proceed to the Instructions to Authors (above) for downloads of an Author Kit. Click here to see the additional notes from our Editor-in-Chief. New authors should consult our revised FAQ pages for information on what articles are suitable.

Final reminder: There are now only a few copies of the 5-volume reprint edition of Émile Boudier's monumental Icones Mycologicae left for sale. Go to our BOUDIER page for the most recent information.

OTHER NEWS

Mycotaxon, Ltd. recently published Dick Korf's non-mycological audio book narration on a dozen CDs, John Brown's Body, the 1929 Pulitzer-prize-winning book-length poem by Stephen Vincent Benét in an edition of 100 copies. A few copies are still available. Check our link above to Publications.

Grégoire L. Hennebert's seminal paper in volume 88: 509-514 (2003) on dual nomenclature in pleomorphic fungi makes reference to a 65-page supporting manuscript on Art. 59 of the ICBM by G. L. Hennebert and W. Gams that is no longer hosted on the two websites cited. Instead, it is now hosted on our website, and a PDF of it can be downloaded here.

The cumulative author index for volumes 61-100 is now posted. Also the ten-volume cumulative taxon indices for volumes 61-90 are posted, as are the individual taxon indices for volumes 91-100.

Monographs: a recent policy. To encourage publication of longer monographic papers, we now allow up to 100 pages without page charges, and excess page charges beyond 100 pages may be partially or fully waived by the Editor-in-Chief in cases of financial hardship.

Authors take note: In an effort to increase the use of good illustrations, we have doubled the halftone allowances for papers effective with volume 101, i.e., 2 halftones per 10 pages will be free of charge. Excess halftones will run $20 per halftone, instead of $40. (This means that a 12-page paper may have 8 pages of text and four free halftones.) Also, beginning with Volume 101, one line drawing will be selected from among manuscripts submitted for use on the front cover. (There still is no charge for line drawings.) Color plate fees are $475 per plate.
